Design decisions

Mobile-first approach was essential since research showed most target users access social media and make purchases on mobile. Used clean, professional design with TailwindCSS to establish credibility while keeping development costs at zero.

Key takeaways:

1.

Zero-budget execution: Leveraged free tools (GitHub Pages, PayHip, Mailer Lite API) to create a complete business system without upfront costs.

2.

Market research drives design: Identified that Moldovan SMM specialists lacked consistent branding, which informed the product positioning and visual strategy.

3.

Organic growth strategy: Focused on authentic content creation rather than paid promotion, resulting in genuine audience engagement and algorithm-friendly growth. (will take more time)

Design decisions

Focused on conversion optimization throughout the entire customer journey. Created comprehensive product bundles with guides and meal plans to increase perceived value. Designed ads that complied with Meta's health product policies while maintaining persuasive messaging.

Key takeaways:

1.

Agile pivoting saves projects: Switched from weight loss to ED supplements based on partner's call center data, leading to immediate sales improvement and break-even campaigns.

2.

International logistics complexity: Managing Portuguese phone numbers, payment systems, and legal requirements from Moldova taught valuable lessons about cross-border e-commerce.

3.

Meta ads require patience: Overcame multiple ad rejections and tracking issues by iterating approaches, ultimately achieving profitable campaigns on the third attempt.

Design decisions

Prioritized data-driven design decisions through systematic A/B testing. Created product pages that balanced informative content with clear conversion paths. Focused on increasing average cart value through strategic layout and cross-selling opportunities.

Key takeaways:

1.

Team interdependence demands precision: Working in a fast-paced team environment where each person's work directly impacts others taught me the importance of delivering accurate, complete work on schedule.

2.

CRO is about psychology, not just aesthetics: Understanding customer behavior patterns proved more valuable than visual appeal when optimizing for conversions.

3.

German market sophistication: Working with German e-commerce standards elevated my understanding of professional design requirements and conversion optimization best practices.

Design decisions

Broke away from standard e-commerce layouts after discovering most competitors used identical structures. Developed a unique information architecture that groups related items into comprehensive categories, making navigation intuitive despite the extensive product range.

Key takeaways:

1.

Research reveals opportunities: Comprehensive competitor analysis showed that differentiation through unique layout and structure could create significant competitive advantage.

2.

Information architecture is everything: With thousands of products across multiple categories, organizing content logically became more important than visual design elements.

3.

User testing validates assumptions: Conducting usability tests confirmed that the non-standard approach actually improved user experience rather than confusing customers.

Working with me

I believe great projects start with great communication. That's why I've developed a clear, collaborative process that keeps you informed and engaged every step of the way—from understanding your vision to delivering results that exceed expectations.

step #1
duration:
1-2 days

Inquiry & Discovery

Fill out the brief form down below with details about your project—whether you need a brand-new website, a visual identity refresh, or specific design collateral.

We’ll schedule a short call to talk about your business goals, target audience, and any design preferences or inspirations.

step #2
duration:
1-2 days

Proposal & Onboarding

After our call, I’ll craft a proposal that outlines design deliverables (like wireframes, mood boards, or mockups), timelines, and pricing options.

Once approved, we’ll set up a dedicated communication channel (e.g., WhatsApp/Telegram) and collect any assets (logo files, brand guidelines, content) you already have.

step #3
duration:
4-5 days

Strategy & Design

Using your brand goals and preferences, I’ll develop initial design concepts—this could be website wireframes, UI mockups, or graphic layouts.

We’ll refine the designs through feedback rounds to ensure everything aligns with your brand identity, user experience needs, and marketing goals.

step #4
duration:
2-3 days

Hand-off

You’ll receive all finalized files—website launch support, brand guidelines, and any additional graphics or templates.

The outcome?

A professional online presence or cohesive visual identity, plus the peace of mind that you have ongoing support if you need it.

Designing Out Loud

Born and raised in Moldova, I’ve always been the type to take things apart—whether it’s a website, a brand, or an old radio.

For me, design is about making things work better, not just look good. My curiosity isn’t just for pixels—I like to know how everything works, and how it can work better.

FAQ

1.

I just need a ‘clean, modern site’—what does that really cost and why do prices vary so much online?

1.

Site cost swings because every build mixes different ingredients: page count, custom features, animations, integrations, copy-writing, and so on. A no-frills static site (1–3 pages, no fancy interactions) typically starts around $150. Add live elements—booking calendar, contact forms, light animations—and the budget moves into the $500–600+ range. Complex builds (member dashboards, advanced e-commerce) push higher, and I may deliver design-only at $80–150 per page if you have a dev team. We’ll scope the must-haves first, then lock a price—no surprise add-ons.

2.

We’re still tiny and most of our sales come from Instagram. Why bother with a full site yet?

2.

A standalone site gives you what social can’t: full control of branding, SEO traffic you own, and the ability to capture emails or subscription revenue without algorithm drama. Even a one-page “conversion hub” can boost trust, handle payments, and future-proof you if your social reach ever dips. Think of it as rented land (Instagram) vs. property you own (your site).

3.

Do you only design, or can you also build the site in Framer / Shopify and keep it updated afterward?

3.

Design is my core, but when project scope fits, I can handle the build in Framer or Shopify and offer an ongoing update plan. If development needs go beyond my lane (custom apps, heavy back-end), I can team up with vetted dev partners and stay on as design lead.

4.

Can you help with the boring stuff—domain, hosting, speed optimization, GDPR cookie banners?

4.

Absolutely. I can register your domain, set up hosting, fine-tune load speed, and configure GDPR-ready cookie banners so you launch without compliance headaches.

5.

We don’t have any copy or images yet. Can you still start, or do we need all the content nailed down first?

5.

We can kick off with placeholders. While you gather brand copy and visuals, I design the structure. If you’re stuck, I can supply temp copy and license-free images—or recommend a copywriter/photographer—to keep momentum.

6.

Do you handle the whole thing—sitemap, wireframes, UI, animations—or do we need separate specialists?

6.

No extra project-management headache: I map the site, wireframe, design UI, and add micro-animations in one streamlined process. Specialists only enter if we need something ultra-niche (e.g., 3-D WebGL scenes), and I’ll coordinate.

7.

Our brand feels inconsistent. Can you refresh the logo and colors while you redesign the site, or is that a separate project?

7.

A site redesign will amplify any brand gaps. If the logo, palette, or tone is shaky, we’ll align those first—often via a mini brand refresh package—then roll the cohesive look into the new site. It’s faster (and cheaper) than re-patching visuals later.
